Yesterday was my first day at Lindsay Volkswagen, in Sterling VA. I will be working in sales. This is also the dealership where I purchased my GTI, so I have at least an inkling of what I'm getting myself into. I am excited, to say the least.

Also, I should have my sales license just before Christmas. Perfect time for all of you to come down and buy cars from me.

Congrats to you and your new job!! I too, am in car sales. Internet sales manager at a small dealer here in NC. Good luck, listen to everything your customer says and then realize that 25 % of it is BS. My favorite line?

"I can't afford more than X amount of dollars"

Then the customer switches to a car 30,000 more than the one we were looking at and writes a personal check for it. Which clears.

I'm not super excited about that, but being able to sell someone a GTI, Golf R, or Jetta sportwagen is pretty great. Plus, I have an inside track on when the GTD will arrive, and I want to get one for my wife. Those things look awesome.

It would be very un-Jalop of you to withhold GTD info.

Remember, the Jetta finances cars such as the GTD, GLI, etc. So, they have their place....in rental car hell!

About an hour east of Charlotte or 1.5 hours west of 95. NC is a nice place for sure. Moved here about 10 years ago. Next time you come through you should stop in. I will show you the hot rod fire truck and such. Eateries around here are pretty decent. It's the country so there is a lot of curvy roads and cow pastures.
